Archetype of the post-traumatic personality with various early maladaptive schemes

This article presents the results an empirical study of the post-traumatic person archetypes with various early maladaptive schemes. The sample of the study consisted of 94 students aged 18-25 years. The study showed that there is a link between different archetypes and early maladaptive schemes, both for a traumatized (Warrior, Orphan, Seeker, Destroyer, Lover), and an individual who did not experience trauma (Innocent, Seeker, Destroyer, Creator, Mage). The obtained results in this study can be explained by the not integrated experience of trauma is suppressed in everyday life in adulthood and manifests itself through early maladaptive schemes which effects are offset by the strategy of the archetype in the personality structure prevailing
