Museum and internet: socio-philosophical analysis

The article is devoted to study of the impact of Internet technologies on museums and sociocultural ties in society. Transition to new digital forms of work in cultural institutions changes the principles of selecting information and exhibits for presentation and representation experience gained. Digitalization process is the foundation of change in culture and society. Digitized artifacts of culture, web-pages, exposition with augmented reality occupy significant positions in the work of museums. It is reportet that Internet technologies create a new sphere of being of culture and society and contributes to the emergence of new social institutions in the Internet. The experience of English-language and German-language museums allows us to analyze the features of the emergence of new communication channels using social networks and augmented reality technologies to increase the exposition and exhibition space. The author of the article concluded that transition to new digital forms of work in cultural institutions changes the nature of the interaction of culture and society and meets the new digital needs of museum visitors. It is reported that similar practices set a further direction for the development of museums.
