Demographic transition: the perspective of stabilizing the anthropogenic impact on the biosphere

The purpose of the present study is to identify the dynamics of the planet's population as a factor that determines the scale of anthropogenic impact on the biosphere. The article discusses the features of the change in the population of the Earth in a historical context, characterizes the concept of demographic transition as a global trend of the current stage of development of society. The reasons influencing the dynamics of population growth are revealed, the relationship between the population of the Earth and the scale of manifestation of human activity in nature is emphasized. As a result of the study, the idea of the prospect of stabilizing the anthropogenic impact on the biosphere due to the cessation of the growth of world population is substantiated.
