The archetypicality of Russian rock

The article analyzes music through the prism of the theory of archetypes of the collective unconscious by Carl Gustav Jung. The subject of the study is the archetypal nature of Russian rock. The phenomenon of music is being researched, clearly showing its ability to draw out repressed existential experiences that were once objectionable from the depths of individual existence into consciousness. Re-experienced and newly realized, these experiences become a valuable experience that improves the quality of life. Each archetype embedded in a piece of music sets in motion certain strings of the soul, evokes emotions characteristic of a particular archetype. For the stated analysis, the most significant archetypes for the development of personality are considered: Persona, Anima and Animus, Self and Shadow.
