SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF TUTOR SUPPORT

The article discusses the features of the adaptation of foreign students in the new socio-cultural, linguistic and educational space, characterized by socio-psychological and socio-cultural factors. The following research methods were chosen: analysis of scientific and methodological literature on the research problem, questioning as a way to identify key problems in the processes of adaptation and integration, which forms a pedagogical experiment. Based on the example of foreign students of NRU MGSU, the motivating factors for entering a Russian university, the difficulties of foreign students at the initial stage of adaptation and integration, as well as key participants in the issue of psychological support, were identified. A theoretical and practical analysis of the possibilities of including tutoring in the process of adaptation and integration of foreign students is carried out. The work is carried out with students of the preparatory faculty, as well as senior students. The interaction of tutors with foreign students begins even before the arrival of students in Russia. Tutors (senior students) introduce future students to the university through online and offline meetings. Upon arrival in the country, each subgroup of the preparatory faculty, depending on the language being studied, is assigned to a specific tutor. Tutor support consists in constant interaction with your subgroup, assistance in solving both everyday and educational difficulties. As a result of the study, the authors confirm the idea that the tutor in the process of socio-psychological support retains his position as a senior mentor and in the first months acts as the central subject connecting all participants in the adaptation process. Thus, the participation of a tutor in the process of adaptation and integration of the student contributes to positive trends in the psycho-emotional state of students for the period of adaptation, as well as an increase in academic performance in the learning process.
