Ivashchenko Andrey Viktorovich  (PhD Moscow State construction university )

Vavanov Dmitry Alekseevich  (Teacher Moscow State construction university )

The article discusses the use of geometric shapes in the architecture of Moscow in different eras and styles. The purpose of the study: to identify a trend in the use of geometric primitives in architecture. Research objectives: to consider in detail a certain part of the surfaces within the framework of the accepted classification. Research methods: the use of comparative analysis, visual geometry. Hypothesis: it is assumed that over time, geometric objects in architecture become more and more complex both in form and in embodiment. Achieved results: based on the analysis, it can be argued that the accepted hypothesis is correct.

Keywords:Architectural forms, architectural style, geometric primitives, descriptive geometry, surfaces
