DETERMINANTS OF CHINESE ADOLESCENTS MENTAL HEALTH

This article focuses on the mental health factors of Chinese adolescents, analyzes the results of empirical research obtained by Chinese scientists over the past few years, and systematizes the most significant factors. As a result of the study, it was concluded that two groups of factors are very important for the mental health of adolescents in China - individual and social. Individual factors include gender, physical health status, sleep duration, emotional stability, interests and hobbies. Among the significant social factors affecting the mental health of Chinese adolescents, family relationships, with classmates, teachers, having friends, social support, and workload at school are highlighted. The results of the study contribute to the understanding of mental health factors in Chinese adolescents and can be used to conduct cross-country comparative studies of the determinants of mental well-being in adolescent populations.
