DEUS EX MACHINE INTERACTION BETWEEN TECHNOLOGY AND THEOLOGY: PHILOSOPHICAL AND HISTORICAL ANALYSIS OF THEIR INFLUENCE ON HUMANS

Sorokin Konstantin Alekseevich  (graduate student the Department of History of Philosophy, Philosophical Anthropology, Aesthetics and Theory of Culture, Department of Philosophy, Ural Federal University, Ekaterinburg, Russia)

The purpose of this article is to explore and reveal the relationship between technology and theology in the context of cultural, social and historical development. Analysing the impact of technological developments on theological thought, as well as theology's views on progress and innovation, enables us to more consciously and deeply appreciate the significance of the intersection of the two spheres in contemporary culture and the impact on societies. The underlying idea of the study is the concept of 'deus ex machina', which was used in ancient Greek theatre as a technological element in the appearance of a deity. This concept suggests the intervention of higher powers or unpredictable events that solve complex problems or resolve conflicts that have no solutions. In its essence, "deus ex machina" is an expression of the philosophical idea of the influence of fate or supernatural forces on the course of events. In modern terms, "deus ex machina" can also be seen in the context of technological development and the desire to use modern scientific advances to solve complex problems.

Keywords:God, Deus, Media, Technology, Plato, Aristotle, P. Sloterdijk.
