Currently, professional self-determination implies the self-development of personal capabilities and the formation of a general attitude of a teenager to a future profession. Her choice is influenced by the role of parental influence, since the family acts as a space that forms an attitude to professional activity. The problem is the difficulty of an independent choice of a professional direction by a teenager, which directly depends on the existing child-parent relationship. Objective: to identify the relationship between child-parent relationships and professional self-determination in adolescence. 24 adolescents of high school age (14-17 years old) were examined, who made up two subgroups for the study: 1) 12 teenagers 14-15 years old (8-9 grade), 2) 12 teenagers 16-17 years old (10-11 grade). The following methods were used: questionnaire "Parent-child interaction" (I. M. Markovskaya), questionnaire of professional attitudes (I. M. Kondakov). Results: 1) parental control positively correlates with indecision and dependence in professional attitudes (r=0.518, r=0.407), 2) emotional distance in relationships is negatively associated with dependence (r=-0.23), 3) acceptance of the child's individuality and the presence of cases performed jointly with the child negatively correlates with indecision (r=-0.823), 4) consent between parents and child in various life situations is negatively related to addiction (r=-0.241), 5) the authority of parents and overall satisfaction with relationships negatively correlates with indecision in professional attitudes (r=-0.24, r=-0.27). The results can be used in the work of psychological, pedagogical and social centers for working with adolescents.
