Modern approaches to the adaptation of foreign students in Russia: criteria for its effectiveness

The article presents the problems of local subjectivization of pedagogical practices of adaptation of foreign students to the environments of Russian culture. The author actualizes the task of universalizing the methodology of acculturation systems of Russian universities, contrasting the variety of approaches to adaptation with the development of awareness and spiritualization of the meanings and meanings of the practices of the host culture. This goal is justified by the risks of neuroticization of the split identity of the adapting personality.
