The article considers the problem of self-realization, taking into account the established theoretical approaches to its study and the modern understanding of the process of personality development. There is a lack of a relevant approach to modern research on self-realization, revealing the dynamism and processual nature of a person. The processual approach is an opportunity to understand the peculiarities of personal self-realization in a dynamic, rapidly changing society, global upheavals and challenges of the uncertain future. The conducted research allows us to develop a model for studying personal self-realization from the point of view of a processual approach in personality psychology. The purpose of the article is a theoretical and methodological substantiation of the processual nature of personality. A theoretical analysis of views on the process of personal self-realization is carried out. Based on the concepts of "process" and "processual", "self-realization", the main categories are analyzed. Based on the analysis, the definition of self-realization as a dynamic, processual phenomenon is proposed, which implies personal growth, self-realization in life and daily activities, the assertion of one's own special and independent path. It is concluded that self-realization is aimed at unlocking the potential of a person in the process of social activity. The main directions and psychological mechanisms of self-realization within the framework of the processual approach are substantiated and considered. A processual approach to the construction of a theoretical model of personal self-realization is described, based on the ideas of S. L. Rubinstein, A. N. Leontiev and V. P. Serkin, as well as the provisions of the procedural approach in personality psychology. S. N. Kostromina and N. V. Grishina, L.A. Korostyleva suggest a procedural approach to the study of self-realization, which reflects the essential relationships and connections between the levels of self-realization: the primitive performing level, the individual performing level, the level of realization of roles and norms in society (with elements of spiritual and personal growth) and the highest level of self-realization - the level of meaningful life and value realization (realization of essential authenticity). The procedural approach to self-realization, in our opinion, reflects a specifically human way of existence, reveals the procedural, dynamic nature of personality. Based on this approach to understanding self-realization, it is possible to understand the psychological mechanisms of personality development and its achievement of high efficiency and effectiveness.
