Eating disorders include abnormal eating-related behavior accompanied by expressed concern about one's own weight and figure. The most common types of eating disorders are considered to be anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and pathological overeating. In this paper, we consider the basic concepts, history and modern representations of eating disorders.
