"SERGEI SKAZKIN - TEACHER AND ARTIST" (BASED ON THE MATERIALS OF THE ARCHIVE OF THE RAS)

The article is devoted to the work of S.D. Skazkin, the analysis of his paintings and graphic works. The purpose of this study is to reveal the talent of S.D. Skazkin - an artist for whom dedication was important in creativity. The result of this work will be an original analysis of essays on the research, pedagogical and social activities of S.D. Skazkin, literature about the life and works of the scientist, written under the supervision of E.V. Gutnova, N.M. Druzhinin, A.L. Narochnitsky, M.Yu. Kiseleva and others. In conclusion, it is shown that the creative heritage of S.D. Skazkin exceeds 400 works, including the books "The Old Order in France", "Essays on the History of the Western European Peasantry in the Middle Ages", "Reader on the History of the Middle Ages (co-authored)," History of France "(two chapters of the first volume)," History of Diplomacy "(collective work, awarded the Stalin Prize). A major scientist, Sergei Danilovich was also a talented artist, collector of paintings, a good violinist, an expert in literature, poetry, philosophy.
