THE ART OF THE JIANZHI OF THE CITY OF GAOMI FROM SHANDONG PROVINCE IN THE WORK OF THE ARTIST FAN ZUOXIN

Paper cutting or jianzhi is one of the most famous traditional Chinese decorative techniques that has been common among the Chinese for a long time, Jianzhi of Shandong Province has two varieties: northern style (Binzhou city) and oriental style (Gaomi city). The purpose of this work was to study the art of jianzhi in the work of the Chinese artist Fan Zuoxin, it is established that the master is the heir to the regional tradition of paper cutting, characteristic of the eastern part of Shandong Province, the center of which is the city of Gaomi. The main methods used in this study are historical-cultural, historical-comparative, formal-stylistic and semiotic, which allow us to show the features of the artist's creative method and its connection with traditional Shandong paper cutting. The novelty of the research is the analysis of Fan Zuoxin's jianzhi "Eight Immortals" and "Ox-Drawn Cart", which shows that the master uses both traditional jianzhi techniques inherent in the Gaomi style, it is shown how the images of traditional Chinese culture are embodied with the help of traditional technique by a modern master of jianzhi. The uniqueness of Fan Zuoxin's style is demonstrated in a comparative analysis with the masters Lan Fumei (Binzhou, Shandong Province), Zheng Zonglin (Shaanxi Province), He Peihong (Zhejiang Province), Zong Huayang (Anhui Province), a feature of Fan Zuoxin's works is the use of high-density paper, a combination of thin delicate and coarse dense cutting, which corresponds to the traditions of Gaomi.
