APPLICATION OF QUALITATIVE METHODS FOR ANALYSIS OF SECONDARY DATA IN PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCH ABSTRACT

This article explores the application of qualitative research methods for the analysis of secondary data in psychology. The focus is on justifying the use of these methods to study subjective experiences and social behavior contexts. The advantages and challenges of secondary qualitative data analysis are highlighted, including access to hard-to-reach respondents and phenomena, as well as the need to consider ethical aspects. Current trends in the use of mixed methods and the expansion of research opportunities through open data sources are discussed. The importance of contextual understanding and data interpretation for improving research quality is emphasized.
