Background. Research on the relationship between shared values and internal communication within an organization in the context of innovation can play an important role in developing recommendations for fostering a strong corporate culture in organizations that are open to improving their processes and enhancing the quality of their products and services. This research can contribute to a deeper understanding of the factors that influence the effectiveness of innovation, which can lead to the development of more effective strategies for managing innovation projects and improving the competitiveness of organizations.
Objectives. The study of the hypothesis of the connection between common values in the workforce and the features of internal communication in it in the context of the innovative activity of the organization.
Study Participants. The sample of subjects in the practical study consisted of employees from 20 Russian companies in three industries: information technology, media, and logistics (at least 70% of the total staff).
Methods. As part of the theoretical research, a review of scientific papers devoted to the analysis of the problem was carried out, and the empirical research was conducted by analyzing correlations (correlation criterion) and conducting a comparative analysis (Kruskal-Wallis criterion).
Results. Research has confirmed that fostering shared values within an organization can lead to more effective communication and a more open approach to initiatives.
Conclusions. There is a statistically significant relationship between shared values, team cohesion, communication within the team (system of collaboration and teamwork), and openness to innovation.
