The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the emerging model for the safeguarding and revitalization of intangible musical heritage in the multi-ethnic region of Northeast China. Examining Jilin Province, it explores the interrelations between legal frameworks, scholarly and field research activities, digitalization strategies, integration into tourism and education, as well as approaches to sacred forms and contemporary creative interpretation. The methodological foundation is a systemic and interdisciplinary analysis, which helps to identify the key components, driving forces, and challenges in constructing a sustainable "living heritage" system. The research findings can be applied to optimize cultural policy and develop similar regional models aimed at harmonizing the preservation of cultural diversity with modern development. The analyzed regional experience holds significant methodological potential for understanding similar processes in other multi-ethnic regions of the world.
