Throughout the greater part of the 20th century, the corporate world had a paradigm called "closed innovation". Its essence boiled down to the fact that innovative companies put forward and develop their own scientific and technical ideas, create new products based on them, go out with them to the market and then distribute and support them.
The beginning of the XXI century is marked by a number of new challenges facing companies engaged in the development and implementation of innovations. This is a reduction in the life cycle of goods, the growing mobility of experienced and professionally trained people - the holders of knowledge, the growing role of private venture capital, which opens up additional opportunities for the creation of new innovative companies. Together, the effect of these factors has led to the fact that the logic of closed innovations has ceased to work effectively.
Open innovation represents an important trend against the backdrop of globalization of the economy and network innovation, while it should be noted that the creation of an open innovation system is of great importance both for Russia and for China. In this article, the subjects, the current state and problems in the field of creating an open innovation system in China against the background of globalization are analyzed, the main obstacles faced by enterprises in the integration and use of global innovation resources are explored. Appropriate proposals have been put forward at the discretion of the relevant departments and experts of Russia.
