Complex improvement of product quality as the basis for increasing its competitiveness, is one of the most pressing issues in the manufacturing sectors of the modern economy nowadays.
This article deals with issues of improving the competitiveness of products in modern conditions. Also there was concerned the practice of solving the quality problem at a particular company which made it more reasonable, the definition of quality is also formulated, the concepts of product quality and management quality are delineated. The practice of solving the quality problem at a particular enterprise has been studied, which justifies the place of improving the quality of products in the overall system of strategic lines of activity of JSC “Zavod BKU”.
There was made a step-by-step study of the production technology, that helped to develop a block diagram, which is a general algorithm for the production of а commodity with specification at each stage of product quality control. By the example of one of the products, there was done phased quality analysis of its manufacturing in accordance with the general algorithm.
