The purpose of the study is to determine the demand for knowledge about the concept of "global economy" among users of the global Internet. They are represented, firstly, by a broad group of users around the world who search for the concept of "global economy" in all categories; secondly, by users around the world who are categorized as "Science" and represent professionals who search for the concept of "global economy" for professional purposes. The research methodology is based on the resources of the Internet and the Google search engine, whose specialized tools allow tracking and visualizing data on the frequency of search queries for the keywords “global economy” in the global Web-space. In addition to the special methodology developed by the Google search resource, the author has used the general scientific methods that include analysis and synthesis, abstraction, induction and deduction, generalization, comparative and systemic approaches, content analysis, as well as statistical and graphical methods. The study showed a significant increase in the popularity of the concept "global economy" in the first decade of the 21st century among users categorized as "Science" both worldwide and in the United States. In addition, there was a fairly even interest from Internet users around the world across all categories throughout the period from 2004 to July 2025, but with a tendency toward some growth in 2025. A more significant trend in the modern information field is the increase in popular scientific interest over the past five years in the processes of deglobalization and regionalization among users around the world, especially representatives of countries with emerging markets. The identified trends generally reflect the patterns of development of the global economy during the period under study.
