The article examines the historical and cultural heritage of Ibrai Altynsarin as a source in the study of the culture of Kazakhstan. Ibrai Altynsarin was one of the founders of Kazakh literature and literary language, which plays an important role in his historical and ethnographic heritage. He actively translated Russian classics into Kazakh, drawing inspiration from the teachers and writers K. D. Ushinsky and L. N. Tolstoy. Many of his works were of a social nature. Ibrai condemned corruption and tyranny. His works are a valuable source for studying the history, ethnography and culture of the Kazakh people.
