The paper investigates acoustic wave propagation in two-phase gas-liquid systems considering critical effects near the critical point. A mathematical model is developed that incorporates power-law (critical) dependencies of thermodynamic parameters and transport coefficients typical for simple fluids belonging to the 3D Ising universality class. A dispersion relation connecting wave number and frequency with thermodynamic state is obtained. Significant decrease in sound velocity and sharp increase in attenuation near the critical point are shown. Shift of maximum attenuation to low-frequency region is established. A numerical algorithm with adaptive time step is proposed.
