Student self-government as a form of organization of extracurricular activities of University students

The article is devoted to the problem of student self-government in the University. The questions of formation of student self-government in the national higher school are revealed. The essential characteristics of student self-government from the position of different approaches are identified. The description of student self-government at the present stage of development of domestic higher education is given.
