LINGUISTIC PECULIARITIES OF TERMINOLOGICAL NOUN PHRASES IN THE LANGUAGE OF ENGLISH SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE

The structure of English terminological noun phrases used in the veterinary scientific literature is described in the article. It is shown that the formation of compound terminological noun phrases results from extending simple two-element phrases if it is necessary to specify the object studied. The effect of the factors of syntactical (active and passive), lexical and terminological valencies on the structure of compound noun phrases and the structural potential of their extension are determined in the article
