The article describes the process of note-taking implementation in consecutive interpreting at aviation institution. The purposes, functions and distinctive features of note-taking are considered; techniques and examples of this phenomenon are analyzed. The relevance of the work deals with the search for new reserves for teaching improving of this interpreting type in a military high school. The research material was audio materials selected by sampling from Internet sources based on the principle of frequency and systemic value. The authors focus on the specifics and analysis of working with techniques of note-taking, as well as difficulties in completing a number of tasks while teaching this type of interpreting.
