FORMATION OF THE ELITE CULTURE OF KIEVAN RUS IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROCESS OF FORMATION OF CIVILIZATION

The article deals with the topical issue of the formation of the elite culture of Kievan Rus as the basis of Russian civilization. The author concludes that the culture of the upper strata of ancient Russian society was formed on the basis of the Great Moravian and Bulgarian traditions under the influence of Byzantium, the nomadic East and partly the feudal West.
