Сhildhood and Youth as seen by of Europeans of the 17th century

The article tells about views of Europeans of the 17th century on childhood and youth, their age and psychological characteristics, reflected in art and literature. It explains the attitude to the life and death of children, customs, associated with their birth names, describes in detail the system of primary, secondary and higher education. When writing this article the writings of philosophers, writers, diaries and letters of contemporaries were used.
