Level of Subjective Control (LSC) in Professional Sphere as One of the Fundamental Needs of the Individual

The article proves actuality of presented topic, stresses the need to pay attention in the study process not only to subject competences, but also to personal that are considered as basic. It considers such definitions as personal self-identity, professional self-identity, structure and ontogeny, personal control level in the area of professional sphere. It underlines both theoretical and practical interest to the problem in respect of professional “self-image” forming, considered as dynamic system of self-perception as the professional activity subject. It presents different scientists’ points of view on this issue. It describes the two extreme types of localization: internal and external, also degree of manifestation. It pays attention to peculiarities of professional self-identity forming in young age. It underlines that locus of control in professional sphere covers teaching situations, professional and any other activities aimed to certain objectives achievement by the human. It uses the technique “Questionnaire of the personal control level” of E.F. Bizhina, E.A. Golinkina, A.M. Etkind., designed on the basis of hierarchical structure of the behavior regulation system, including complex factor of personal SCL (subjective control level, an invariant to private activities’ factors), two indexes of middle level of similarity, differentiated on emotional sign of these situations and the number of situational-specific indexes. It provides the results of the research students’ SCL in the professional sphere. It concludes that knowledge about features of students’ personal-professional self-identity allow to expand theoretical understanding about improvement patterns in the study process at the University and simulate the process of their training on the basis of personal-centered approach paradigm.
