The story of A. I. Kuprin «the Trinity-Sergius»: a dichotomy of poetics

the Genre of narrative in the works of A. I. Kuprin «the Trinity-Sergius» (1930) as a whole meets the established structural characteristics, but represents their modernization, indicates the instability of genre traditions. To the characteristics of the genre of the story, we include: the narrative of the episode in the life of the main character (rarely the history of life, as in the stories of Anton Chekhov), the plot is expanded around a Central event (centripetal action), coordination of the «source» event and «interpreting» (finale), one storyline and one conflict, limited the time and place of the action; a limited number of characters and usually one main character; one, which focused on the structure of the narrative; the appropriateness of the explanation, eliminating unnecessary details; «odnoplanovye speech style».
