The role of traditional religions in strengthening interfaith dialogue in the North Caucasus

In this article, the author notes that in an environment of a growing number of new religious movements and strengthening the role of religion in society, the problem of interfaith relations in Russia as a whole and within its regions is an important factor in ensuring and forming of tolerance in social, inter-ethnic, interfaith relations. According to the author, traditional religions which have a rich and centuries-old experience of cooperation in the territory of Russia should play a key role. In conclusion, the author formulated a number of mechanisms for formation and implementation of interfaith dialogue in the North Caucasus.
