Readyness of Bachelors of International Relations for professional bilingual communication

The reform of the system of higher education in Russia considers as a priority objective to active the development of the international activities of higher education institutions and students, as well as science, business, professional cooperation in the international sphere that promotes professionalism, competitiveness and quality of educational services. In this regard, foreign languages are increasingly used as a means of teaching other disciplines. Modern Russian socio-economic situation, education science and educational practice dictated by the needs of society in the preparation of bachelors and masters of language high schools to professional bilingual communication. The development of bilingual competence of students of high school contributes to the success and efficiency of professional activity. In this context, it is important to assess the readiness of future bachelors of international relations to a professional bilingual communication. The formation of professional and foreign language competence of students of non-linguistic high school should be based on the implementation of the principles of bilingual education in high school: a parallel training to professional dialogue of students in their native and foreign languages, the study of professionally oriented foreign languages. We believe that the knowledge of foreign languages is functionally conditioned, and bilingualism is based on the development of the second language personality in the context of functional and procedural requirements of mixed bilingualism.
