Bill of pre-revolutionary Russia: history and legislation

in the article emergence and history of development of the bill relations in Europe and the Russian Empire are considered. The author lights changes in the legislative documents regulating the circulation of the bill in Russia in XVII – XIX centuries, archival documents of commercial, verbal and customs courts were analyzed. Special attention is paid to features of legal proceedings on bill affairs. The author draws conclusions about value of a special order of consideration of bill disputes for development of the commodity-money relations.
