Print Media in Languages of Peoples of the USSR on the Battlefield in 1941-1945

The article analyses activities and policies of party bodies, Soviet government, political bodies of the Red Army on the frontline (1941–1945) aimed at establishing newspapers in languages of peoples of the USSR. The article surveys the variety of multiethnic military print propaganda. There is a focus on the tasks solved by these ethnic newspapers: nurture of valor and camaraderie, promotion of time-honored ethnic traditions, assistance in military training, and features in history of Homeland defense, which became an important factor in the victory of the USSR over the Nazi.
