The struggle between revolutionary narodniks and the army: from searching for contacts to a military revolutionary organization

The article considers the theoretical views and practical efforts of revolutionary narodniks organizations of 1870 - early 1880s on involving the military in the liberation struggle. The reasons for increasing the attention of the opponents of the autocracy to events and processes in the army during the noted period are analyzed. The views of the narodnik ideology’s founders and views of the revolutionary narodniks of the 1870s and 1880s are compared on the role and place of the military in the social movement for civil rights and liberties.
