Spatial organization of reindeer herding of the nomadic population of the Kanin Peninsula in the first quarter of the twentieth century

In this paper, the spatial organization of reindeer breeding of nomadic nenets and komi-izhemtsi in the first quarter of the 20th century is considered. The organization of nomadism and the system of land using in reindeer husbandry are analyzed. The features in the land using of nenets and komi-izhemtsi in the first quarter of the 20th century, as well as the transformation of the industry in the 20th century, are revealed. Based on the study, the author makes a conclusion about the main factors that determined the spatial organization of reindeer breeding in the region.
