Colonial expansion of the great powerfull countries at the end of the XIX century

By the end of the XIX century, the competition of great powers for the markets increased. The struggle for the division of still "free" territories is replaced by a struggle for the "redistribution" of colonies and spheres of influence. In the past, England and France were most active in the arena of the struggle for the division of the world; Followed by Russia and the United States. Throughout the XIX century, the Russian Empire continued to advance to the south, which led to further escalation of international relations. The result of fierce Anglo-Russian rivalry in the Caucasus and the Persian Gulf at the end of the 19th century was the demarcation of British and Russian spheres of influence, as well as the strengthening of Russian influence in the Middle East. In the late eighties of the XIX century, relations between Germany and Russia also became more complicated.
