Anthropomorphic metaphors, reflecting professional and social peculiarities of human's life

The article presents the analysis of anthropomorphic metaphors and similes reflecting professional and social peculiarities of human's life selected from the works of an English animal writer, naturalist and zoologist Gerald Durrell. The aim of the article is to identify anthropomorphic metaphors and similes and show their role in creating a multi-dimensional image depicted by human qualities and characteristics projected on animals. The study is based on the works of animal writers and findings which have not yet been the subject of special study.
