Outlook concept "empiricism" in the English fiction (by the material of the novels of Jane Austen)

The article presents the results of the study of the English concept EMPIRICISM in the novels of Jane Austen. The analysis reveals the culturally significant noematic characteristics of this phenomenon, demonstrating the peculiarities of the value orientations of the linguocultural community: English empiricism is common sense - the source of well-founded opinions, the valuable quality of a friend; it is reason - self-control - senseless practicality; this prudence is the basis of practical benefit and usefulness.
