East Siberia as the main production center of cathoring and links (XIX - the beginning of the XX century)

The article is devoted to the problems of the implementation of the penitentiary policy of the Russian state in the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth centuries, and directed at the forced colonization of the eastern outskirts of the country. It is noted in the work that Eastern Siberia, possessing untold wealth of land and minerals, during this period becomes not only a place of isolation of state and criminal criminals, but also the main production center of the Tsar's hard labor and exile.
