Princely land tenure in the Yaroslavl district in the second half of XVI – the beginning of XVII centures

Results of studying of princely land tenure in the Yaroslavl district in the second half of XVI – the beginning of the XVII centuries are presented to article. It is established that about 50 princely surnames owned lands throughout the considered chronological period here. The average size of a princely ancestral lands of the middle of the XVI century made 700–1000 chety. In the last third of the XVI century patrimonial possession in "a patrimonial nest" were lost by the majority of surnames of princes Yaroslavl as a result of establishment of oprichnina and other reasons. At the beginning of the XVII century there is a partial restoration of social positions of the escaped princes and their return to "a patrimonial nest".
