Pharyngealization as phonetic interference of the native language in conditions of Tuvan-Russian bilingualism

Dambyra Irina Dash-oolovna  (Candidate of Philological Sciences, Tuvan State University, Kyzyl)

The article analyzes the influence of the native language (Tuvan) in teaching phonetics of the Russian language, describes the interference errors in the speech of Tuvans-bilinguals, in particular, considers borrowed word forms from Russian or through Russian that are spoken with pharingalization of stressed vowel syllables. The novelty of the problem posed is due to the fact that pharingalisation in Russian borrowings is first considered as an orphoepic error in the speech of native speakers of Tuvan. The contrasting features of the sound structure of the two languages are characterized from the point of view of hard-to-translate cross-language interference.

Keywords:the Tuvan language; the Russian language; Tuvans-bilinguals, bilingualism; interferential errors; phonetic interference; pharingalization, pharingalized vowels.
