Jiao Fengyue   (PHD student of Beijing Normal University, jiont PHD student of Lomonosov Moscow State University)

Life as the most important concept for a human being is the object of interest of representatives of various fields of scientific knowledge. This article is devoted to the reconstruction of the associative halo of the concept-word LIFE from the point of view of cognitive linguistics. As a part of the conceptual analysis, such a linguistic tool as "projective sense" is used, which is aimed at revealing a visual image of the name in the speaker's consciousness. The method of identifying projectors is the analysis of metaphor and comparison with the main subject. In L. Petrushevskaya’s texts the commitment to metaphorical compatibility is noted.
