China's foreign policy in Belarus

Wang Liuying   (postgraduate student, Peoples Friendship University of Russia)

The article focuses on the history of China-Belarus relations, which are determined by the de-ideologized and even depoliticized economic pragmatics inherent in the Chinese side. It is proved that historically, China's foreign policy strategy in Belarus, like its global foreign policy strategy, is focused on ensuring economic interests, attracting Chinese companies and manufacturers who are developing Chinese loans in Belarus. The novelty of the study is supported by a fact that confirms that both earlier and now the presence of a political aspect (the unqualified recognition of Byelorussia of a unified China and the non-recognition of Taiwan, as well as the Western criticism of human rights that unites the two countries) is not advertised and does not affect the intensity of investment in the Belarusian economy.

Keywords:history of interstate relations, historical conditions, historical strategy, companies, producers, China, Belarus, foreign policy, A. Lukashenko, Xi Jinping.
