From the history of relations between the state and the Church in pre-Imperial Russia

The article considers the relationship between the Church and the state during three stages of development: Kievan Rus, the period of feudal fragmentation, the Moscow Kingdom. The author emphasizes the features of the manifestation of the Vyzantine branch of the Church on the Russian soil, which do not claim to dominate.
