Psychological and pedagogical bases of formation of information culture of the person

the article analyzes numerous studies of cultural scientists, philosophers, psychologists and teachers of the concept of "information culture". It showed that at present there is a wide range of approaches to the definition of information culture: from the level of skills of purposeful work with information, to a comprehensive understanding as a special type of competence in the new information environment, the formation of information culture of the individual, which is an integral part of the General culture, morality, ethics. Only a person with an information culture can fully live and work in an information society. Today there is every reason to talk about the formation of a new information culture, which can be considered an element of the General culture of mankind.
