The research paper presents the results of an investigation of Altai phraseological units with somatic components, which relate to a qualitative characteristic of a person. The work reveals quantitative data on the composition of somatic components and on phraseological units with these components and gives examples of the most numbered semantic categories of phraseological units with different somatic components
