Linguistic and sociocultural features of English songs discourse

This article is devoted to the study of linguistic and socio-cultural features of the modern English-language song discourse on the material of the texts of rock compositions. The problem of discourse and discursive typology is currently attracting the attention of many domestic and foreign researchers, as the question of the interaction of different types of knowledge and cognitive structures in the communicative process is not yet sufficiently developed. The subject of the study was the linguistic features of these texts, as well as some cognitive and socio-cultural features of the English song discourse.
