Extralinguistic aspects of the outlook concept "EEYORISHNESS"

The article examines the English linguocultural concept EEYORISHNESS (PESSIMISM), which is one of the basic components of the English mentality. The analysis of extralinguistic factors which form the concept allows us to identify its significant ontological characteristics, national characteristics of the worldview and the significance for the English ethnos as a protective mechanism that makes life more predictable and orderly.
