Specificity of the Kinyarwanda language sound system in the context of teaching Russian language as a foreign language

The article is devoted to the study of the Kinyarwanda language phonetic structure features as a reason for interferential errors appearing in the speech of learners. Author reveals the mechanisms of phonetic variation of consonants in Kinyarwanda, leading to a mixture of consonants in Russian language. He also notes the differences between the types of rhythmic structures most frequently used in both languages. Author concludes that considering of the Kinyarwanda phonetics laws in the future should help representatives of this language group to prevent interpreting errors in Russian speech.
