Realization of the project method in the process of teaching foreign language in the university

In the article the problem of using the project method in the process of teaching a foreign language to university students is actualized. The author justifies the importance of this problem from the standpoint of the need to match the level of professional preparedness of students to the updated requirements of educational and professional standards. The essence of the design method is revealed in the article. The stage of project activity in the process of implementing the design method is singled out, the content of each stage is briefly characterized taking into account the aspects of solving language and communicative tasks within the project. The author singles out the criteria of the project activity used in the teaching of a foreign language to students of various specialties who study at a higher school.
